Connect your MCP in minutes.
You don’t need to be technical. If you can install an app, you can do this.
What’s an MCP?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It’s the way Claude and ChatGPT connect to outside tools and data, like how your phone connects to apps.
Pennyweight uses MCP to give your AI secure access to your financial data. You don’t need to understand the protocol. You click connect, authorize your bank accounts, and tag which accounts belong to which entity. The MCP handles the rest.
Five steps to your first answer.
- 1Open Claude.ai or the Claude app. Click the connectors icon in any conversation.
- 2Search for “Pennyweight” in the connector directory. Click Connect.
- 3You’ll be redirected to Plaid. Select your bank and authorize read-only access to your accounts.
- 4Create a passphrase. This encrypts your data. Only you can unlock it. We never see it.
- 5Tag your accounts by entity. Mark each one as personal, business, property, or whatever fits your life. You can change this anytime.
- 6Done. Ask Claude: “Show me my freelance expenses this month.”
